Dec. 14-17th

You will see a green half sheet of paper come home: “Gingerbread House Ingredients”. We will be making gingerbread houses on December 22^nd and ask that all ingredients be sent to the school by Tuesday, December 21^st. If you would like to volunteer to come in and help make gingerbread houses on the 22^nd please send a note on the Communication Letter stating that you would like to help. We will be making them on Wednesday, December 22^nd from 12:45-1:45pm.

On Thursday, December 16^th we will be going to the local nursing home and singing our concert songs. The students were very excited about this when I shared it with them and may want to practice at home.

Just a reminder that next week we have school on Monday, December 20^th, Tuesday, December 21^st, Wednesday, December 22^nd and Thursday, December 23^rd is an early release day. The students will leave the school at 1:00pm on the 23^rd.

Classes resume Tuesday, January 4^th 2011.

Enjoy your winter break!

Thank you to all of the families who sent supplies for our Christmas projects! We can’t wait to send them home for the students to share with you at Christmas!

One last thing to share, we have started practicing for our spell-a-thon. Our words are: a, I, the, we, can, like, go, see, if, it. Please help your student practice these at home. Our test will be on January 7, 2011.
