Welcome Back!

I hope you enjoyed your winter break!

We jumped right in today with reviewing the things that will be on our second quarter report cards:

• practicing counting 0-50
• skip counting by 10's
• writing our numbers
• reciting our days of the week
• naming our months of the year
• we even attempted to say the new date complete with year without stumbling (I struggled with this more then the students did.)

We will be doing testing during reading centers so we do not have a schedule of small books to watch for. We will be fitting them in between testing sessions.

This weeks theme is "Our 5 Senses". We will explore and experiment with the five senses all week. Ask your student which sense they learned about when they get home each night.
